JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Title: Clinical Informatics Specialist -Analytics and Business Intelligence Tomah Memorial Hospital EOE POSITIONSPECIFICS Full-time, benefited; M-F hours between 7a and 5p; potentialfor weekend/holiday work based on project needs along with on-callpotential; must be able to be on site in Tomah, Wisconsin, for a lengthof time during initial orientation and work at least 1-2 days per weekin house after orientation. JOB SUMMARY The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) isresponsible for participating in the planning, development, training,implementation, evaluation and maintenance of assigned ClinicalInformation Systems across the facility. In this role, with EnterpriseAnalytics oversight, the CIS will participate in the Community ConnectBusiness Intelligence Developer Program, primarily focusing on reportinganalytics. The CIS is responsible for facilitating communication to/fromthe clinical end users across the patient care departments while workingcollaboratively and directly with staff, department managers, medicalproviders, vendors and technical experts. The CIS has skilled knowledgeof clinical disciplines and clinical information systems as well as asignificant understanding of other IT disciplines and utilizes thisknowledge to optimize the clinical design to meet the house wide needsof the organization. The CIS incorporates the organization\'s strategicobjectives in the management and evaluation of the hospital\'s clinicalinformation system and will be a liaison between a wide variety of userswithin our facility and outside of our organization. MAJOR JOBFUNCTION 1. Create, build, and customize Epic Cogito tools (includingRadar Dashboards, Reporting Workbench Reports, Clarity Reports, CaboobleReports, and Slicer Dicer Sessions) to address complex businessrequests. 2. Integrate, facilitate, contribute and manage resources toachieve strategic goals, short term and long term, via theutilization/management of clinical information systems and I/Tresources. EDCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Clinicaldegree required: RN, LPN, MLT; Bachelor\'s degree and/or ClinicalInformatics degree preferred. 2. Prior Epic application experienceand/or training required or similar. 3. Epic Cogito, Epic Clarity, andEpic Caboodle certifications required within 6 months of hire. 4.Information Technology training a plus. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS 1. Possessthe following skills: 2. Excellent human relation skills as demonstratedby the ability to interface positively with all customers and employees.3. Must have the ability to work with frequent interruptions, understress, with minimal supervision, and to exercise initiative andjudgment in analyzing, organizing, planning, prioritizing, schedulingand coordinating work with others. 4. Needs to possess as high level ofintelligence, integrity, sense of responsibility and ability tocomprehend and analyze details. 5. Ability to mentor and assist staff inprofessional growth. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Frequently required to stand,walk and reach with hands and arms and is also required to sit, climb orbalance, stoop, kneel and crouch. 2.
